Responsibilities
- Maintains standards and practices for patient care.
- Performs basic patient care duties such as obtaining vital signs, weighing patients, and collecting specimens.
- Affixes to provider(s) during examinations and treatments, and with procedures.
- Assists with patient flow through the clinic.
- Answers phones, records messages, and assists with patient-related calls.
- Schedules tests, appointments, and pre-certifications.
- Documents patient information.
- Administers medications and immunizations according to provider orders.
- Cleans and restocks exam rooms.
- Cleans equipment following policy.
- Orders stock supplies from the supply department.
- Maintains sterile technique and uses universal protocol.
- Completes routine clerical tasks, including locating patient charts, filing, and completing forms.
- Attends and completes required meetings and in-service training.
- Performs other duties as assigned.
Requirements
- CERTLPN License in state of employment or compact.
- BLS certification.
