LPN (Licensed Practical Nurse)

About the role

Highland Park Health Care in Okmulgee, OK is seeking experienced Licensed Practical Nurses (LPN) to join our clinical team. You will participate in and direct the delivery of patient care in accordance with facility clinical systems, regulatory requirements, and physician orders, ensuring the highest quality services in a customer-service-friendly environment. Our facility specializes in long-term and rehabilitative care, focusing on superior clinical care, rehabilitation, wellness, and supportive services that meet the wants, needs, and expectations of our patients and residents.

Responsibilities

• Maintains appropriate nursing service objectives, goals, and standards of nursing practices consistent with licensure requirements and the Nurse Practice Act.
• Evaluates staffing patterns needed to meet the needs of the residents in conjunction with the Director of Nursing.
• Administers medication and treatments as prescribed.
• Receives, transcribes, and implements physician’s orders.
• Implements and evaluates care plans.
• Identifies and secures equipment supplies.
• Directs and oversees subordinates.
• Participates in duty assignments.
• Organizes and coordinates subordinates, job tasks, and time allotments.
• Oversees and monitors function and activities of subordinate staff.
• Evaluates staff performance and institutes appropriate action discipline or training.
• Monitors infection control compliance.
• Investigates and documents accidents and incidents.

Requirements

• Current, unrestricted LPN license in the state of practice.
• Previous skilled nursing experience.
• Solid understanding of clinical operations and regulatory compliance.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.

Schedule

12-hour shift: 7pm to 7am.
