About the role

The LPN functions as an advocate, supporter, educator, and caregiver to individuals with disabilities. They assist individuals in developing basic living and social skills to gain optimal independence and integration into the community. Depending on the individual, LPNs provide assistance with living skill development, health maintenance, medication administration, personal care, and behavioral development/management. LPNs will work under the RN supervisor and alongside Nursing Assistants to provide services to clients. The goal is to enrich the lives of residents to help them live happy, healthy, and fulfilling lives.

Responsibilities

  • Assist individuals with disabilities in developing basic living and social skills
  • Provide health maintenance and medication administration
  • Support personal care and behavioral development/management
  • Work under the supervision of an RN and alongside Nursing Assistants

Requirements

  • Current LPN or CNA license
  • Past experience with high medical needs and personal cares
  • Prefer past experience in a group home setting
  • Compassionate and caring demeanor
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • 18 years or older, with a completed HS diploma or GED
  • Pass a MN DHS Background Study
  • Available to work every other weekend
  • Current Driver’s License, car insurance, and a clean driving record

Pay

$24.00 - $27.00 per hour, depending on experience

Schedule

2:00 PM - 10:00 PM, with every other weekend off
