About the role
Willis Knighton Bossier 3 North med/surg/telemetry floor is looking for a motivated, organized nurse with exceptional assessment and communication skills. Do you want to improve your organizational and critical thinking skills? Working on a med/surg/telemetry floor will give you this opportunity. Prior hospital nursing experience is recommended, but new graduates are encouraged to apply. This is your opportunity to obtain experience and prepare yourself for specialty units. The average nurse to patient ratio is 1:5, with the assistance of a nurse aide. The patient population is a mixture of medical, surgical, and cardiac. All nurses receive a comprehensive hospital and unit-specific orientation where they are provided 1:1 nursing instruction with a preceptor. Working on a med/surg/telemetry floor will build up your experience and can even prepare you to provide care to patients in specialty areas such as critical care or ER. Responsibilities
- Delegation of appropriate tasks to ancillary staff
- Comprehensive assessments and documentation
- Communicating with physicians and case manager
- Patient education
- Accurate medication administration
Requirements
- Prior hospital nursing experience recommended (new graduates encouraged to apply)
