LPN II - Neurology (Special Full Time) - 6029

About the role

The LPN II provides nursing care for an individual who has been prepared and in conformance with Medical Center policy and procedures, under the supervision and guidance of a registered nurse.

Responsibilities

• Assesses patient’s condition and documents findings
• Administers medications and treatments as ordered
• Monitors vital signs and reports changes to RN
• Collaborates with interdisciplinary team to develop and implement care plans
• Documents patient care activities accurately and timely
• Ensures patient comfort and safety
• Participates in quality improvement initiatives

Requirements

• Current New York State license as a Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN)
• One year of recent, relevant clinical experience preferred

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required
• Completion of an approved LPN program
