LPN II

About the role
As a LPN II within Richmond County Health department, you will join a dedicated group of public health professionals that help support the overall mission and vision of protecting lives of Georgian residents in a variety of ways.
Responsibilities
- Checking vital signs (blood pressure, temperature, height, weight)
- Administering vaccines to infants, children and adults
- Assisting with hearing, dental and vision exams
- Accurately documenting in the facility's EMR
- Reporting directly under supervision of a registered nurse and County Nurse Manager
All East Central Health District 6 employees are deemed essential workers in the event of an emergency. As such, you may be called on to participate in an event including but not limited to: staffing a shelter, working at a Specimen Point of Collection Site (SPOC) and/or working at a Point of Dispensing site (POD). If you are called on to participate, you are required to report to the designated site as a condition of employment, whether the emergency occurs during or outside regular work hours.
Requirements
- High School Diploma/GED
- Graduate of an accredited LPN program with passage of NCLEX-PN exam
- At least 1 year experience as a LPN
Preferred Qualifications
- Public Health experience
- Experience in an outpatient/ambulatory care high volume setting
Under the pre-employment fitness-for-duty this position is considered a Category 4: Health-related positions where medical knowledge and skills are required, such as nurses or therapists.
