LPN - Home Care - Full Time

The role

The private duty licensed practical nurse ensures quality and safe delivery of home health care services by utilizing basic nursing skills and the nursing process.

Responsibilities

• Assists in the provision of home care services that reflect the Children's Home Care of Dayton philosophy and standards of home health and nursing care of clients.
• Works closely with the Private Duty Manager, agency staff, referring physicians and other health care professionals in providing skilled, professional nursing care.

Requirements

• Nursing experience in the area of acute care, nursing home, general pediatrics or neonatology or current pediatric home care experience.
• Professional certification within 3 years of hire.
• Possesses and maintains a current CPR card.
• Certification by State of Ohio Practical Nursing Board and current pharmacology card.

Qualifications

• Maintains a valid Ohio driver’s license.
• Minimum age of 21 years old.
• Mets all eligibility criteria for coverage under the hospital’s insurance policy.

Skills

• Basic nursing skills and the nursing process.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
