Bradford Recovery Center is dedicated to providing the highest quality of personalized, evidence-based care to adults age 18 and older whose lives have been impacted by substance use disorder (SUD), addiction, and certain co-occurring mental and behavioral health challenges. Our residential program offers individualized treatment for adults dependent upon alcohol or other drugs, including those with co-occurring mental or behavioral health disorders.

About the role

A full-time Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) position with a $5,000 sign-on bonus. Shift: 7:00 AM – 7:00 PM, including rotating weekends.

Responsibilities

• Monitor patient health and administer basic care utilizing the nursing process within the LPN/LVN scope of practice in carrying out care plan objectives and goals.
• Role model expectations related to customer service and demonstrate a sense of urgency related to patient safety.
• Collaborate with others to ensure patients’ physical, biopsychosocial, age, developmental, and cultural needs are met; acknowledge and work to resolve customer complaints when needs are not met.
• Provide basic comfort to patients and implement nursing interventions identified in the individualized plan of care.
• Apply appropriate interventions to progress the patient towards wellness and address maintenance of wellness.
• Discuss care with patients and listen to their concerns.
• Report status changes and concerns to registered nurses and doctors.
• Communicate therapeutically and professionally with patients, visitors, coworkers, and others involved in treatment.
• Ensure the safe delivery of medication in accordance with policies, procedures, physicians' orders, and current practice.
• Maintain standards of professional nursing practice in line with facility policies, external governing bodies, performance improvement standards, and psychiatric nursing standards.
• Responsible for thorough, accurate reporting and documentation of patient symptoms, responses, and progress.
• Perform other functions and tasks as assigned.

Requirements

• Graduation from an accredited school of nursing.
• One or more years of nursing experience within the clinical area of service provided by the facility preferred.
• Current LPN/LVN license as required by state.
• CPR and de-escalation/restraint certification required (training available upon hire and offered by facility).
• First aid certification may be required based on state or facility.
