LPN Dispensing Nurse - PRN

Requirements

• Graduate from an accredited practical/vocational nursing program
• Current license as an LPN or RN in the Commonwealth of PA
• 1 year of nursing experience is required
• Experience with drawing labs, performing EKGs, wound care, and triage is required
• Experience with chemically dependent populations preferred
• Minimum one (1) year experience with dispensing narcotic medication, preferably in substance abuse treatment including treatment of opioid dependence
• CPR certification
• Available to work: Sat-Sun, 7:00am-10:00am

Responsibilities

• Administer/dispense methadone per State and Federal Guidelines
• Adequate recording of the administration/dispensing transaction
• Avoidance of treatment plan of the physician and/or medical director
• Maintain all medical records including but not limited to individual charts, daily medication charts, dosage records, progress notes, Doctor’s orders, etc., as required
• Monitor tuberculosis, HIV, and Hep C testing for all individuals, including making outside referrals when necessary
• Provides emergency care as needed (CPR, PMAB, Emergency Medications)
