LPN - Day Shift

Role: Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) responsible for providing nursing care in a full-service veterans' care facility. Key Responsibilities Administer medications and treatments following accepted standards.Provide safe, efficient personal care to residents, adhering to infection control and safety protocols.Document care, medications, and treatments accurately.Assess residents, update care plans, and report changes to physicians.Assist with resident and staff orientation, and coordinate resident care activities.Schedule and assist with medical appointments, and record employee health testing results.Supervise Nurse Aides and assist with shift reports and unit operations. Qualifications & Skills Valid Indiana LPN license, CPR, first aid, and Mantoux certifications.Strong communication, documentation, and clinical skills.Ability to follow instructions, prioritize tasks, and provide safe resident care.Experience with medication administration, resident assessments, and use of medical equipment. Additional Duties: Respond to emergencies, assist with resident activities, and support team functions. Work involves complex judgment, physical effort, and interaction with residents, staff, and visitors in a controlled environment.
