LPN - Day Shift

About the role

Provide nursing care in a full-service veterans' care facility, delivering safe, efficient personal and clinical support to residents while adhering to infection control and safety protocols.

Responsibilities

• Administer medications and treatments following accepted standards.
• Provide safe, efficient personal care to residents.
• Document care, medications, and treatments accurately.
• Assess residents, update care plans, and report changes to physicians.
• Assist with resident and staff orientation.
• Coordinate resident care activities.
• Schedule and assist with medical appointments.
• Record employee health testing results.
• Supervise Nurse Aides and assist with shift reports and unit operations.
• Respond to emergencies and support team functions.
• Assist with resident activities and interact with residents, staff, and visitors.

Requirements

• Valid Indiana LPN license.
• CPR, first aid, and Mantoux certifications.
• Strong communication, documentation, and clinical skills.
• Ability to follow instructions, prioritize tasks, and provide safe resident care.
• Experience with medication administration, resident assessments, and use of medical equipment.

Work involves complex judgment, physical effort, and interaction in a controlled environment.
