LPN Day and Night Shift

Join our team of highly skilled clinicians. We are seeking a passionate and dedicated Staff Nurse (LPN / LVN) to make a difference in caring for patients in our community. Take pride in monitoring, assisting, and encouraging patient progress in our facility, which provides compassionate short- and long-term healthcare and specialized medical support.

Responsibilities

• Direct the day-to-day functions of Nursing Assistants in accordance with current rules, regulations, and guidelines governing the long-term care center.
• Assist in planning the nursing services portion of the resident’s discharge plans as required.
• Complete accident/incident reports as necessary.
• Chart nurses’ notes in an informative and descriptive manner reflecting care provided and residents’ responses.
• Prepare and administer medications as ordered by the physician, following federal, state, and local regulations and center policy.
• Order prescribed medications, supplies, and equipment as necessary and in accordance with established policies.
• Ensure narcotics are handled in compliance with federal, state, and local regulations and center policy; maintain accurate narcotic records for your shift.
• Make daily rounds of your unit/shift to ensure nursing service personnel perform their work assignments according to acceptable nursing standards.
• Notify residents’ attending physicians and next-of-kin of changes in residents’ conditions or if residents are involved in an incident or accident.
• Attend and participate in all center in-service programs as required.
• Complete daily required nursing evaluations and documentation in Point Click Care.

Qualifications

• Current and valid LPN license in the state of employment.
• Long-term care/post-acute care setting experience preferred.
