About the role
The Great Falls Clinic Hospital seeks to hire a Medical Assistant (CMA) and a Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) to assist in examination, treatment, or diagnostic procedures under physician direction. The positions require adherence to established standards and practices, and collaboration with the interdisciplinary team to meet patient needs.
Responsibilities
- CMA:
- Assists in examination, treatment, or diagnostic procedures after proven competency.
- Works as the primary liaison between patients, staff, and providers.
- Takes vital signs, triages patient calls, refills prescriptions, completes necessary prior authorizations, and supports the team.
- Gives direction to Certified Nursing Assistants (CNAs) and schedulers.
- Receives direction from providers, coordinators, clinical managers/supervisors, and RNs.
- LPN:
- Provides nursing care for clinic patients within the scope of licensure.
- Works as the primary liaison between patients, staff, and providers.
- Collaborates with the interdisciplinary team to meet patient needs.
- Takes vital signs, trisages patient calls, refills prescriptions, completes necessary prior authorizations, and supports the team.
- Gives direction to CNAs and schedulers.
- Receives direction from providers, coordinators, clinical managers/supervisors, and RNs.
Requirements
- CMA:
- Appropriate Licensure/Certification.
- Maintains currency of the CMA/RMA credential.
- LPN:
- Current State LPN license.
- BLS (Basic Life Support).
- Maintains currency of the LPN license.
Qualifications
- CMA:
- Graduate of a medical assisting program.
- Passes the CMA/RMA Certification Examination of the America Association of Medical Assistants (AAMA) or American Medical Technologists.
- LPN:
- Graduate of a Nursing Program.
- Maintains currency of the LPN license.
Skills
- Medical Terminology.
- Basic Medical Assistant Principles and Procedures.
- Keyboarding skills.
- Basic office skills.
Benefits
Position is contingent upon passing a pre-employment screening, including criminal background check, drug screening, health and immunizations screening.
Pay
Up to $5,000 retention bonus based on experience.
