LPN Clinic, General Surgery

About the Role

The LPN Clinic, General Surgery provides direct nursing care and clinical support to patients in the general surgery clinic under the supervision of providers, registered nurses, and clinical leadership. This role supports patient assessments, care coordination, and daily clinic workflows to ensure safe, efficient, and patient-centered surgical care.

Working collaboratively as part of a multidisciplinary clinic team, the LPN contributes to continuity of care across pre- and post-operative services while supporting clear communication and patient education. Through reliable clinical practice, teamwork, and adherence to quality and regulatory standards, this position supports effective clinic operations and positive patient outcomes.

Responsibilities

• Provide direct nursing care and clinical support to general surgery patients in accordance with provider orders and established care plans.
• Assist with patient assessments, rooming, vital signs, and monitoring; report changes in condition to registered nurses or providers.
• Support clinic procedures, specimen collection, and point-of-care testing in accordance with departmental requirements.
• Maintain accurate, timely documentation in the electronic medical record and support coding and clerical processes as assigned.
• Coordinate patient flow, prepare exam rooms, and support efficient clinic operations across assigned locations.
• Collaborate with providers and clinic staff to deliver consistent, high-quality care and support patient education as directed.
