About the Role

The LPN Charge Nurse provides leadership within the healthcare team, overseeing nursing staff, coordinating patient care, and ensuring compliance with healthcare regulations and institutional policies. They serve as a key liaison among healthcare professionals, monitor patient conditions, and address clinical or operational issues to promote optimal patient outcomes.

Responsibilities

• Supervise and coordinate nursing activities for resident care
• Monitor patient conditions and respond to emergencies
• Guide and support nursing staff in clinical decision-making
• Collaborate with healthcare professionals to develop care plans
• Ensure compliance with policies, procedures, and regulations
• Conduct shift reports and maintain accurate medical records
• Participate in quality improvement and staff education

Requirements

• Current and valid LPN license in Michigan
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification
• Strong clinical assessment and critical thinking skills
• Effective leadership, communication, and organizational abilities
• Proficiency with electronic medical records and documentation
• Experience in nursing or medical fields is a plus but not required
