About the role

Ebenezer is looking for a Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) to join our vibrant and welcoming TCU and LTC team! This position performs a variety of professional nursing duties in compliance with the Comprehensive Home Care regulations and follows established policies and procedures for our beautiful Skilled Nursing Facility in Bloomington, MN.

Martin Luther Care Center, part of the Martin Luther Senior Living Campus, is located in East Bloomington, MN near woodlands/wetlands and along the Minnesota River Bluffs. Managed by Ebenezer, we offer 137 units between our Skilled Nursing long-term care, Memory Care, and Transitional Care. Martin Luther Care Center was named Top Nursing Home and Transitional Care Center by US News and World Reports the past two years.

Schedule

• Casual/On-call schedule
• Day/Evening/Night shift
• Weekends as needed

Responsibilities

• Provides skilled nursing care such as implementing practitioners’ orders, ordering and assisting with medications and supplies, operating medical equipment, and charting practices
• Lifts and transfers residents as needed
• Initiates emergency treatment as needed
• Monitors work and performance of unlicensed staff
• Updates RN with current observations and completes documentation of resident health status
• Communicates changes in residents' conditions to relevant individuals
• May support RN by completing resident assessments, service agreements, and care plans

Requirements

• Required MN LPN licensure
• AHA BLS for Healthcare Providers or Red Cross CPR for Professional Rescuers
• Able to work independently
• Good communication and interpersonal skills

Qualifications

• Preferred previous healthcare experience
• Comfortable using computers, handheld devices, phones, and fax machine

Pay

This position provides one flat hourly rate, with regular reviews to ensure competitiveness with the market. If your role is eligible for a sign-on bonus, the bonus program approved and in place at the time of offer will be honored.
