LPN - Cardiac Stepdown - Full Time Nights

About the role

Full-time registered nurse position in a Cardiovascular Progressive Care Unit (CVPCU) supporting complex cardiovascular and thoracic patients, including post-operative care, CHF, arrhythmias, STEMI, pulmonary issues, kidney failure, overdoses, and step-down patients.

Responsibilities

• Utilize the nursing process to provide and evaluate patient care effectiveness
• Coordinate patient care with other departments
• Maintain patient rights and confidentiality
• Collaborate with surgeons, cardiologists, and clinics to ensure safe patient transitions
• Engage in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment with opportunities for skill development and career advancement

Requirements

• Graduate of an accredited nursing program (ADN, Diploma, BSN)
• Current RN license in Missouri or compact license
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification

Preferred Qualifications

• Prior hospital or specialty experience
• BSN degree
• Additional certifications

Skills and Physical Requirements

• Ability to lift up to 50 lbs
• Ability to stand, walk, and perform physical nursing duties
