LPN

Requirements

• Graduate of an accredited practical nurse program
• Maintains a valid Louisiana license
• CPR certified within 30 days of first shift of direct patient care or prior to completion of orientation
• Oral and written communication skills
• Computer skills
• Personal qualities such as kindness, empathy, understanding, respect, good judgment, integrity, loyalty, a sense of humor, and the ability to relate to people in a compassionate manner

Job Related Hazards

• Able to walk three miles per shift on unit
• Able to care for patients with infectious diseases
• Able to administer aerosol medication
