SMG Family Medicine & Pediatrics Hampton is hiring an LPN onsite in Hampton, VA. New graduates are welcome to apply. Eligible candidates may receive up to an $8,000 sign-on bonus.

Schedule

• Full-time, 40 hours per week
• Monday through Friday
• No nights or holidays

Responsibilities

• Provide basic nursing care under the supervision of an RN or Licensed Independent Practitioner (LIP) in the clinical setting, within the scope of practice dictated by the State Boards of Nursing
• Demonstrate professional and clinical knowledge relative to designated clinical practice setting in the delivery of direct patient care, adhering to the level of verified competency dictated by the site specific program
• Work as part of a multi-disciplinary team to support and communicate effectively with other licensed independent practitioners (Physicians, NP, PA) in collaboration while providing care and treatment for patients
• Provide clinical support and teaching for patient and family members
• Adhere to the legal and ethical standards of nursing practice
• Manage responsibilities of workload with accuracy
• Provide excellence in customer service
• Perform testing, medication administration and the implementation of nursing interventions and care plans to support a holistic approach to patient care
• Serve as patient advocate in the prevention of illness or disease

Qualifications

• Valid LPN license in state(s) of practice required (Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) Single State – Nursing License – Virginia Department of Health Professionals (VADHP))
• Basic Life Support (BLS) required within 90 days from hire
• Clinical experience preferred
