About the Role

We are looking for Licensed Practical Nurses (LPNs) to join our team at Morningside House of Friendship, a leading assisted living and memory care community in Hanover, MD. This role provides licensed nursing services to residents and may require supervision of other staff positions.

Responsibilities

• Administer medications to residents in compliance with Federal & State regulations.
• Conduct admissions of new residents, including all admission assessments and documentation.
• Complete service plans and track clinical systems (e.g., wounds or infection control) under the direction of the Director.
• Provide consultation on health-related concerns within the community.
• Communicate effectively regarding changes in resident health, notifying physicians and/or family with proper documentation.
• Respond quickly to emergencies and work safely while handling multiple tasks.
• Conduct educational meetings for residents and staff; attend required training, in-service, and staff meetings.
• Provide oversight and direction for care staff as needed.
• Understand your role in the Safety & Disaster Plan.
• Maintain confidentiality of residents’ and prospective residents’ information.
• Promote a safe working environment through accident prevention and safe practices.
• Maintain a positive and professional demeanor toward residents, visitors, families, and co-workers.
• Adhere to all policies and procedures of Morningside Elite Management.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

Requirements

• Must be a state-licensed Practical Nurse (LPN).
• A Bachelor’s Degree from a four-year college or university; or one to two years of related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
• Must be Cardiac Pulmonary Resuscitation (CPR) certified or willing to become certified.
