About the role

The Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) provides general nursing care to patients, families, and caregivers within a medical practice setting. They collaborate with physicians, registered nurses, and multidisciplinary team members to support patient-centered care.

Responsibilities

• Gather patient measurements and data
• Prepare patients for examinations and treatments
• Assist with procedures
• Support self-care and management plans
• Maintain a safe environment and medical supplies
• Participate in quality improvement and continuing education
• Communicate effectively with the healthcare team and respond to patient requests

Qualifications

• Graduation from an accredited LPN program
• Current NYS licensure as an LPN
• Basic Life Support certification (must be obtained within 6 weeks of hire)

The role requires adherence to state practice laws and organizational policies, with a focus on advocacy, safety, and teamwork.
