Supervise Nursing Activities
- Supervise Certified Nursing Assistants (CNAs) as the charge nurse
- Ensure CNAs follow physician orders
Implement and Plan Care
- Implement resident care based on physician orders
- Evaluate care and communicate with doctors for order updates (PRN)
- Complete admission orders into Electronic Care System (ECS)
- Assist with evaluating residents for medical needs/changes
- Plan resident care based on physician orders
- Enter physician orders into ECS
- Ensure residents receive medications based on doctor’s orders
- Perform medication passes
- Maintain medication care including audit procedures for PRN medication and controlled medicines
Assist with Resident Care
- Perform skin evaluations and treatments as required by protocols
- Monitor blood glucose, temperature, and blood pressure
