Westerwood is seeking a full-time LPN Charge Nurse for a 7am-7pm position in our Assisted Living community.

About the role

The LPN Charge Nurse provides direct nursing care to residents following care plans, company policies, and state regulations. Responsibilities include ensuring the health, safety, and comfort of residents, supervising caregiving staff, and communicating with families, physicians, and the team.

Responsibilities

  • Provide direct care to residents and administer medications.
  • Administer treatments including dressings, catheterization, suctioning, oxygen, etc.
  • Coordinate, supervise, and evaluate resident care; assist in direct resident care as necessary.
  • Maintain accurate documentation of medication administered and care rendered.
  • Keep physicians and families informed of changes in residents’ conditions.
  • Assist in admission and discharge procedures.
  • Respond to resident emergency call systems as indicated.

Requirements

  • Current LPN (Licensed Practical Nurse) license in the State of Ohio.
  • CPR certification.
  • At least six months of geriatric nursing experience.
  • Passion for providing superior quality care with an emphasis on customer service.
  • Resourceful problem-solving skills and ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment.
