About the Role
Edgefield Post Acute is a skilled nursing and rehabilitation facility located in Edgefield, SC, near Aiken, SC, and Augusta, GA. We are seeking a compassionate Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) to provide direct nursing care to residents and supervise nursing assistants in accordance with federal, state, and local standards.
What You'll Do
- Provide exceptional nursing care to residents
- Administer medications and treatments
- Accurately document resident care
- Collaborate with physicians, therapists, CNAs, and fellow nurses
- Build meaningful relationships with residents and their families
- Help create a positive, caring environment every day
- Direct the day-to-day functions of nursing assistants
- Ensure nursing personnel comply with facility policies and procedures
- Participate in quality assurance programs and facility surveys
- Admit, transfer, and discharge residents as required
- Complete accident/incident reports and maintain census reports
- Transcribe physician's orders and chart nurses' notes
- Prepare and administer medications as ordered
- Order prescribed medications, supplies, and equipment
- Maintain narcotic records and manage drug discrepancies
- Participate in employee performance evaluations and staffing decisions
- Make daily rounds and provide leadership to nursing personnel
- Orient new residents and families to the facility
- Notify physicians and next-of-kin of changes in resident condition
- Carry out restorative and rehabilitative programs
- Administer professional services including catheterization and sterile treatments
Pay & Schedule
- Base pay: $26–30/hour
- Weekday nights: +$3/hour shift differential
- Weekends (Saturday & Sunday): +$4/hour shift differential
