Location & Schedule

Redondo Beach, CA 90277 | 3-month contract with extension opportunities

Shift times: 7:00 AM – 4:00 PM or 8:00 AM – 5:00 PM, Monday–Friday, with occasional Saturdays for special projects.

Responsibilities

• Provide direct patient care, assist with examinations, and support daily clinical operations.
• Check and record vital signs, height, weight, and initial patient history.
• Administer prescribed oral medications, injections, immunizations, and IV hydration.
• Assist doctors with physical exams, minor procedures, and diagnostic tests.
• Collect specimens (blood via venipuncture or finger sticks, urine) and prepare them for lab analysis; maintain POCT QI control logs.
• Clean wounds, apply and remove dressings, and remove sutures.
• Document and update patient electronic medical records.
• Coordinate post-hospital discharge visits and care.
• Support medical assistant staff with day-to-day activities, answer phone calls, and relay messages to patients.

Required Qualifications

• 1–2 years of ambulatory care or primary care experience.
• CPR certification required.

Preferred Skills

• IV hydration experience.
• Urine catheter experience.

Additional Details

Dress code: Blue scrubs. No travel required; work takes place at a single location (not in patients' homes). Interview process: in-person preferred.
