About the role
The Fintech & Loyalty organization builds and manages the systems, products, and partnerships that make it easy and rewarding for customers to pay, finance, and gift with Wayfair. Within F&L, the commercial team is responsible for delivering profitable growth across products including credit cards, financing, payments, loyalty, and gift cards.
Responsibilities
- Own the growth strategy for Wayfair’s gift card business, with clear accountability for increasing sales, revenue penetration, and customer usage.
- Identify, negotiate, and launch new channels and commercial partnerships that expand the reach of Wayfair Gift Cards.
- Drive year-round marketing campaigns on and off Wayfair, in partnership with internal Marketing, Creative, Product, Engineering, Analytics, Brand, and Finance teams.
- Build a repeatable experimentation engine with clear hypotheses, fast readouts, and decisions that compound learning over time.
- Improve the end-to-end gifting experience — discovery, merchandising, design, purchase, delivery, and redemption — so the product feels more emotionally resonant, occasion-worthy, and easy to use.
- Own partner relationships with distributors and marketing partners; hold them accountable for growth, economics, and execution.
- Translate customer insight and market trends into action, improving how Wayfair Gift Cards are positioned and why customers choose them.
- Manage spend with discipline by setting clear investment criteria, tracking ROI, and shifting dollars toward the highest-confidence growth opportunities.
- Communicate crisply with leadership on growth strategy, performance, risks, and decisions needed to accelerate results.
Requirements
- 5+ years of experience in growth, marketing, business development, category management, partnerships, or general management, ideally in e-commerce, retail, gifting, loyalty, payments, or other consumer businesses.
- A track record of growing a business, category, or channel through marketing, partnerships, and commercial execution.
- Strong sales and marketing instincts, including experience building campaigns, evaluating ROI, and turning insight into demand.
- Experience launching and scaling external partnerships, distribution channels, or co-marketing programs.
- A GM mindset: you know how to set strategy, prioritize bets, manage tradeoffs, and own outcomes.
- Strong analytical judgment and comfort working from imperfect information to make decisions and move quickly.
- Excellent cross-functional leadership skills and the ability to influence stakeholders across many teams.
- Clear, crisp communication and executive presence.
- Strong customer empathy and brand instinct; you understand that gifting is emotional and that experience matters.
- High ownership, high energy, and a bias toward action.
