Lower School Substitute Teacher Pre-K - Grade 4

Essential Responsibilities

• Teach classes following the lesson plan
• Absorb and assist in classroom management
• Supervise drop-off and dismissal, recess, and lunch
• Maintain all documentation related to the curriculum and students
• Maintain regular and reliable attendance
• Exemplify the School’s mission and community principles
• Perform duties as assigned by the division head

Minimum Qualifications

• Bachelor degree
• Experience in instructing children in academic, athletic, or camp programs
• Strong supervisory and leadership skills to manage a classroom
• Ability to perform critical thinking, organization, prioritization, and problem-solving with minimal supervision
• Ability to serve in a diverse community of colleagues, students, and parents
• Enthusiasm and communication skills to engage boys and build meaningful relationships

Compensation

$195 / day (7:30-3:00 pm) or $26.00 / hour if coverage is less than a full day.
