Lower School Substitute Teacher

About the role

Scheck Hillel, a large private school located in the Aventura, Florida area, has openings for qualified on‑call substitute teachers in our Lower School. Scheck Hillel is a nationally recognized college preparatory and Jewish community school in North Miami Beach, Florida. Responsibilities

• Facilitate lesson plans during a teacher’s absence.
• Assist the remote teacher in managing the classroom.
• Assume the responsibilities of the classroom teacher for the school day.
• Maintain a consistent volume of high‑quality instruction with accuracy and professionalism.

Requirements

• At least two years of college coursework (60 semester credit hours).
• Classroom experience and/or experience working with children in a structured environment.
• Strong communication and computer skills.
• Satisfactory background check, including references and fingerprinting clearance.

Schedule

These positions are on call on an as‑needed basis.
