Lower Elementary Teacher
Job Purpose
Develops, plans, and implements curriculum, lesson plans, and educational programs for student audiences within areas of expertise. Provides instructional support to students. Provides general supervision of students. Responsible for the performance growth of students. Maintains relations with parents, students, volunteers, outside agencies, and staff. Utilizes district-adopted curriculum resources. Participates in district professional development programs, as required. Works collaboratively with other building administrators & central office staff.

Language Skills
Able to read and analyze, and interpret general business periodicals, professional journals, technical procedures, or governmental regulations. Able to write reports, business correspondence, and procedure manuals. Able to effectively present information and respond to questions from groups of administrators, staff, board and the general public.
Mathematical Skills
- Able to calculate figures and amounts such as discounts, interest, commissions, proportions, percentages, area, circumference and volume.
- Able to apply concepts of basic algebra and geometry.
Reasoning Ability
- Able to define problems, collect data, establish facts, and draw valid conclusions.
- Able to interpret and extensive variety of technical instructions in mathematical or diagram form and deal with several abstract and concrete variables.
Physical Demands
- While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to sit, stand, communicate and talk or hear.
- The employee frequently is required to walk, use fingers, tools or controls.
- The employee is occasionally required to stand and reach with hands and arms.
