About the role
The Lower Elementary Teacher is a full-time, on-site role located in Egg Harbor, NJ.
Responsibilities
- Plan and deliver age-appropriate instruction for lower elementary students, integrating a Biblical worldview into all subject areas.
- Develop lesson plans, teach core academic subjects, assess student progress, and provide individualized support as needed.
- Maintain a safe, engaging classroom environment.
- Communicate regularly with families.
- Collaborate with colleagues and school leadership.
- Participate in professional development, school events, and activities that support the mission and values of Atlantic Christian School.
Qualifications
- Strong Teaching and Elementary Education skills, with demonstrated experience working with young learners.
- Curriculum Development and Education skills to design and implement effective, standards-based lesson plans.
- Excellent Communication skills to interact professionally with students, families, and colleagues.
- Bachelor’s degree in Education or a related field; state teaching certification or eligibility is preferred.
- Experience in Christian education and alignment with the school’s faith-based mission and values.
- Ability to manage a classroom, differentiate instruction, and use appropriate assessment methods.
- Strong organizational skills, reliability, and a commitment to ongoing professional growth.
