About the role

Drive a Lowboy Truck for transporting construction equipment to and from jobsites.

Responsibilities

  • Operate equipment safely and efficiently.
  • Perform pre and post trip inspections, including checking oil, water, horn, lights, tires, windshield and wipers, fire extinguisher, fuel, and seat belt.
  • Clean mirrors and windows and start engine with a warm-up period.
  • Check braking and steering.
  • Follow verbal and written instructions.
  • Make normal operating adjustments to the Lowboy Truck.
  • Move transported equipment as needed.

Requirements

  • Commercial Drivers’ License and necessary endorsements in accordance with 49 CFR383.91: heavy straight vehicle (Group B) or combination (Group A).
  • At least three years experience operating a Lowboy Truck in a construction environment.
  • Knowledge of Heavy Equipment.
  • Drive truck to and from jobsite to deliver and pick up equipment.
  • Occasionally lift and/or move up to 30 lbs and be able to climb, sit/drive, shift gears, cover/uncover loads, change wheels, adjust lugs, use hand tools such as wrenches/screwdrivers.
  • Able to communicate effectively and be a team player.
