Responsibilities
- Operate as the SME for USCIS on low voltage matters.
- Schedule testing services in designated facilities.
- Note changes and deficiencies to projects and make corrections after approval.
- Support security meetings by attending and providing expertise.
- Create security cabling requirements into existing Statement of Work.
- Coordinate security vulnerability scanning for designated operations center and domains.
- Operate as the point of contact between facilities and divisions for technical support.
- Maintain positive relationships with outside vendors.
- Provide support to Electronic Security Engineer during Access Control System deployments.
- Track and research information related to Access Control, Intrusion Detection, and Video surveillance for all designated facilities.
- Other duties may include reviewing installation of low voltage cable and systems for electronic equipment and communication devices, inspecting security cable installations, reviewing analog installations, providing technical plans, and creating cost estimates.
Qualifications
- High School Diploma or GED with at least 3 years of relevant experience.
- Experience in cabling (Cat5/Cat6) and cable installation, and rack-and-stack of switches, servers, panels, and workstations.
- Experience/Familiarity with supporting and/or installing electronic security systems (Access Control Systems (ACS), Video Surveillance Systems (VSS), Intrusion Detection Systems (IDS)).
- Proficient in security systems and reading technical drawings and reviewing building plans for accuracy of cabling and security setup.
- Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite and SharePoint or similar collaboration tools.
- Ability to support security meetings by attending and providing expertise.
- Ability to conduct onsite inspections for scheduling testing services.
- Ability to provide project management support to manage projects.
- Strong organizational, communication, and customer service skills with proven ability to produce clear written correspondence and documentation.
- Demonstrated ability to work independently or collaboratively within cross-functional teams under minimal supervision.
- U.S. citizenship and ability to obtain and maintain Secret clearance eligibility.
- Valid U.S. driver's license due to the requirement of driving within the state for this position.
Desired Qualifications
- Electrical experience is a plus.
- Familiarity with security vendors such as C-cure 9000, Gallagher Command Center, Lenel, Milestone Network Video.
