Low Voltage Technician
About the role
A Specialty Systems Technician at Faith Technologies is responsible for a wide range of systems installations, troubleshooting, and maintenance. They must hold a BICSI or NICET certification and possess strong communication skills. This role requires a self-directed approach to project completion and safety compliance.
Responsibilities
- Install and troubleshoot a variety of systems including voice and data, fiber optics, fire alarm, security, access control, closed circuit television, nurse call, etc.
- Analyze blueprints for job site knowledge.
- Evaluate tasks and anticipate equipment, procedures, and training needs.
- Enforce safety protocols and ensure compliance with company and customer-specific safety standards.
- Provide direction, training, and mentorship to Helpers/Apprentices.
Requirements
- Completion of Electronic Systems Technician (EST) Apprenticeship Program (if applicable).
- Holds BICSI or NICET Certification.
- The ability to effectively communicate in the English language.
Qualifications
This position involves travel of 5-10% and operates between the hours of 6 am to 6 pm, Monday through Friday. May include nights, weekends, and holidays based on customer demands.
Skills
Strong communication skills, ability to analyze blueprints, and proficiency in various systems installations and troubleshooting are essential.
