Low Voltage/Structured Cabling Superintendent (100% Traveler)
Job Summary
The Superintendent is responsible for ensuring all work is installed and maintained according to Company and Customer requirements, including safety, quality, and management.
Job Duties And Responsibilities
- Manage various project crews; provide necessary training; adhere to safety and quality guidelines; conduct weekly safety meetings.
- Act as the senior Company liaison for operational interface with customer representatives; ensure deadlines are met per customer requirements.
- Manage workload distribution and staffing levels; ensure successful job completion; maintain productivity, job completion, and compliance to project budget.
- Complete IES and project paperwork accurately and on time; ensure Job Closing Packages meet customer and Company standards.
- Perform quality checks; prevent outages; assist Project Manager with daily job walks to ensure quality; prepare red-lined as-built drawings.
- Serve as the main on-site customer contact for questions and concerns; attend facility and construction meetings when required.
- Demonstrate detailed technical knowledge; troubleshoot and resolve technical issues as they arise.
- Review and monitor operational processes for accuracy, completeness, and efficiency; develop, redesign, and implement process improvements.
- Maintain operational processes; monitor quality and safety issues; promote safety as the top priority; lead operations meetings and training sessions.
- Manage tool and truck inventory/maintenance.
- Perform other responsibilities as assigned.
Qualifications
- Physical and Mental Requirements: Outdoor and indoor construction work environment; self-motivated, positive approach; professional image; problem-solving skills; critical thinking skills; reading, writing, and presenting abilities; organizational skills; interpreting blueprints; lifting up to 50 pounds and moving up to 75 pounds; working at heights, off ladders, and in confined spaces.
- Education, Certification, License, And Skill Requirements: Minimum of three (3) years supervisory or managerial experience; minimum of five (5) years’ experience in telecommunications or a related technical or construction field; proficiency with computers and Microsoft Office; meeting Company minimum driving standards; ability to define projects, create scopes, estimates, tasks, and manage to completion; basic hand tools; trade tools; basic hand tools; trade tools; basic hand tools; trade tools.
Pay
Min USD $35.00/Hr. Max USD $45.00/Hr.
Schedule
Full-time, direct hire position; willing to work as a 100% full-time traveler.
