Responsibilities

• Install, service, and program customized security, access control, data, and/or fire alarm systems.
• Effectively manage time on installations, staying on or below budgeted man-hours for each project.
• Perform installations on multiple projects and provide weekly updates to the Supervisor and/or Account Manager.
• Work closely with the scheduling coordinator to ensure projects are completed on or before assigned deadlines.
• Collaborate with contractors and/or customers to identify necessary change orders and present this information to the Supervisor and/or Account Manager.
• Communicate effectively in visual, oral, and written form.
• Maintain a pleasant and cooperative temperament with internal and external customers, even under stress.
• Promote collaboration, partnerships, and positive long-lasting relationships with customers.
• Address customer complaints, identify solutions, suggest improved methods, and recommend system enhancements.
• Maintain customer confidence by keeping information confidential.
• Update job knowledge through educational opportunities and professional publications.
• Enforce safety standards to the highest level.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

Requirements

• Must pass a background check and have a valid driver’s license.
• Experience with low-voltage systems (card access, video, fire alarm, and intrusion).
• Minnesota Power Limited Technician License preferred.
• Excellent problem-solving and negotiating skills.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office products.
• Awareness of current market conditions and product trends.
• Ability to work effectively and efficiently with minimal supervision.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.

Pay

Salary range: $83,200 to $104,000 per year, depending on qualifications.
