Low Voltage Estimator

About the role

IDR is seeking a Low Voltage Estimator / Preconstruction (Structured Cabling & Data Centers) to join one of our top clients in Alpharetta, GA. This role is ideal for an estimating professional who can own takeoffs and pricing for large-scale low-voltage deployments (with data center experience strongly preferred). Responsibilities

• Produce detailed estimates and quotes for low-voltage projects (labor, materials, equipment, subcontractors)
• Review drawings, specs, and bid documents and complete accurate takeoffs for structured cabling/network scope
• Build competitive proposals for deployments including Cat6/Cat6A and fiber (preferred), pathways, racks/cabinets, and terminations/testing
• Partner with sales, engineering, and project teams to document assumptions/exclusions/risks and support bid deadlines
• Support site walks/customer meetings and travel across the Southeast as needed

Requirements

• Must have proven experience estimating/quoting low-voltage projects end-to-end
• Strong estimating background in structured cabling and network infrastructure (commercial environments)
• Ability to interpret construction drawings/blueprints/specifications and translate scope into pricing
• Proficiency with estimating/takeoff tools and strong Microsoft Excel skills
