Low Voltage Designer (All Levels) (Multiple Openings / Locations) (Telecom / Security / Fire / Broadcast / AV / Acoustics / etc.)

About the role

Low Voltage Designers are responsible for the design, coordination, documentation, and delivery of electrical building systems such as Acoustics, A/V, Broadcast, Fire, Security, Telecom, and more, for various project environments. Depending on experience level, individuals may perform engineering calculations, prepare and review design documents, coordinate with project teams, manage tasks or projects, provide technical leadership, mentor others, and support business development activities.

Responsibilities

• Prepares design documents under the supervision of experienced engineering and design staff.
• Prepares design documents, system layouts, drawings, schematics, and related documentation under the supervision of experienced engineering and design staff.
• Assists with engineering calculations, basic design tasks, and research on products, systems, and applicable codes.
• Supports the review of shop drawings for conformance to plans and specifications and participates in field verification as directed.
• Collaborates with experienced staff to understand client requirements and project scope, acting as a liaison to relay client and architect questions and responses to the design team.
• Supports project coordination activities under the guidance of senior staff, including emails, scope tracking, and schedule coordination.
