Low Voltage Data Technician
About the role
This hourly, non-exempt position is responsible for managing low voltage systems, including alarm systems, telecommunications, audio/visual setups, access control, and automation devices. Duties involve reading blueprints, installing wiring and equipment, troubleshooting system issues, and ensuring compliance with safety regulations.
Responsibilities
- Installing, servicing, and integrating a variety of low voltage systems, including Intrusion Alarms, Video Surveillance, Card Access, Telephone Systems, and Data Networks.
- Answering basic customer inquiries after training by MSI.
- Traveling domestically to other MSI locations with expenses paid by the company.
- Managing updates to MSI systems.
- Performing additional duties as required or requested.
Requirements
- One (1) plus year of Low Voltage Data Technician experience required.
- High School diploma or equivalent required.
- Ability to use a computer or tablet is a plus.
- Good communication and organizational skills required.
- Ability to follow instructions and work under pressure.
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs.
- Must be available to travel to any state as needed.

This is a safety-sensitive position.
Pay
This position pays from $22 to $25 per hour, with overtime compensated at 1.5 times the base rate. New hires typically earn between $55,000 and $71,800 annually, or more, depending on experience, overtime hours, and bonuses.
Schedule
Monday to Friday from 08:00 AM to 05:00 PM, with 2 Saturdays a month from 08:00 AM to 12:00 PM.
