About the role
The Lounge Supervisor oversees lounge operations, ensuring exceptional customer service through proactive monitoring and supervision of employees and suppliers while fostering strong working relationships with airline partners.
The expected pay rate is $28/hr.
Responsibilities
- Execute and enforce Swissport’s policies to ensure lounge operations comply with airport, company, and regulatory requirements
- Adjust manpower assignments based on operational needs while monitoring adherence to meals and rest break policies
- Coach, counsel, and take appropriate disciplinary action for subordinate employees
- Supervise all lounge staff regarding day-to-day operations
- Attend to and resolve customer concerns and/or complaints
- Monitor daily stock and inventory levels and place orders as needed
- Greet and engage customers with a smile in accordance with hospitality standards
- Replenish merchandizers and other stations with food and snacks
- Regularly check drink stations and maintain proper stock levels; communicate with back-of-house when stock is running low
- Serve beer, wine, and other beverages from the fully tendered bar
- Buss and sanitize tables, wash dishes, and dispose of trash following all SOPs
- Clean and wipe down surfaces, maintain an organized lounge area, and ensure cleanliness
- Sweep, mop, and vacuum floors as needed or instructed
- Assist with deliveries, stock rotation, and organization of inventory
- Deliver exceptional customer service with every guest interaction
- Bid passengers farewell and encourage their return
- Perform other duties as assigned
Requirements
- Must be 21 years of age or older
- Previous experience in hospitality, food and beverage, or customer service required
- Minimum 1 year of experience in a supervisory role
- Good command of the English language (verbal and written)
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Reliable transportation to and from the airport
- Able to lift 50 lbs. without assistance
- Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced, restaurant-type setting
- Physically able to be on your feet during an entire shift (8–10 hours); walking, bending, stooping, twisting, reaching, pulling, pushing, kneeling, and crouching
- Positive attitude, excellent communication, and willingness to work as a team
- Ability to pass a 10-year federal background check
- Food Handler’s license and Responsible Beverage Service license or ability to obtain
- Willingness to work early mornings, late nights, weekends, and holidays
- Professional personality and strong customer service knowledge
