Essential Duties and Responsibilities
- Manage the day-to-day beverage and food service activities of bar/lounge and restaurant outlets.
- Accurately prepare all drinks and spirits ordered by guests.
- Prepare the bar for service.
- Properly stock all items needed for service.
- Attend pre-meal with attending kitchen staff for specials and menu additions.
- Greet guests at bar and tables and take all food and drink orders.
- Aid in preparing Seasonal/Daily Cocktail list conforming to the trends.
- Maintain proper sanitation of Bar areas.
- Observe and enforce TIPS guidelines.
- Abide by all Rules and Regulations set forth by the State of Connecticut and Liquor Commission.
- Enter orders into Micros system.
Hotel Specific Essential Functions
- Ability to stand for 8 to 10 hours length of time.
- Ability to lift 50 lbs. with assistance as needed.
- Ability to bend frequently during a shift.
- Ability to hear and verbally communicate to all customer requests.
- Flexibility to perform job responsibilities outside of this job description that may require assisting other departments in their regular functions.
- Ability to comply with all hotels policy and procedures.
- Willingness to work weekends, holidays, and/or flexible hours.
- Comply with hotel policy regarding attendance and attire.
