Lottery IS Business Consultant
About the role
The Lottery IS Business Consultant will lead and direct IT support activities for the Lottery, serve as the primary liaison with IT infrastructure, data and telecommunications, and applications system vendors, coordinate quality assurance programs, monitor business needs, and research technology solutions.
Responsibilities
- Leading and directing IT support activities for the Lottery
- Primary liaison with IT infrastructure, data and telecommunications, and applications system vendors
- Coordinating quality assurance program for software testing with vendors and application users
- Making sure the Lottery’s business needs are met and researching technology solutions
- Vendor contract administrator, reviewing performance and compiling data for potential liquidated damages for contract violations
Requirements
This position is headquartered in Madison at the State Revenue Building on Rimrock Road.
Qualifications
- Experience leading or serving as a liaison in Information Technology (IT) projects
- Experience collecting and/or analyzing data to evaluate IT program effectiveness
- Experience communicating technology or policy issues to executive leaders or external stakeholders
- Experience performing quality assurance software testing
- Two additional qualifications from:
- Assisting in development and implementation of policy or process changes
- Speaking or providing technical training to internal or external audiences
- Analyzing new and/or emerging technologies to develop recommendations
- Serving as the key contact for vendor relationships or contract administration
- Performing quality assurance software testing of vendor application software
- IT experience working with state, federal or local government

Pay
The starting pay rate for this position is between $46.94 - $55.90 per hour ($97,635 and $116,272 annually), depending on experience and qualifications, plus excellent benefits.
Schedule
Remote/Telework up to 60%. During probation, you will have the opportunity to gradually increase to 60% (i.e., working remotely three (3) days per week, and will report to the 2135 Rimrock Road; Madison WI building, two (2) days per week) based on performance and workload needs.
