Lot Porter

About the role

Camping World is seeking a Lot Porter for its growing team. This position involves providing driving and support services as part of a first-class service team.

Responsibilities

• Park and move RV units in a timely fashion
• Ensure window prices on recreational vehicles are installed and removed as instructed
• Maintain weekly lot washes and ensure all units and isles are clean
• Write work orders, track problems, and ensure units are in proper working order
• Sweep, pick up trash and debris, empty garbage cans, keep lot clean and professional in appearance
• Keep units and equipment secure from weather
• Maintain physical inventory on a weekly basis
• Ensure slide-outs are in, jacks are down, steps are down, select awnings are opened, and the doors are unlocked
• Maintain a safe and clean work area for customers and coworkers

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent
• Towing experience preferred
• Ability to use yard tractor and/or forklift
• Ability to drive an RV
• Experience using generators and operating slide-outs
• Ability to repair small items and identify problem units
• Valid Driver's License and acceptable driving record
• May lift up to 25 lbs. and/or move up to 50 lbs. with assistive devices
• Prolonged periods of standing, stooping, crawling, and bending
• Exposure to heights and hazards related to working with electrical and welding equipment
• Environmental conditions include heat, cold, humidity, noise, dust and wetness

General Compensation Disclosure: The pay range for this role considers several factors in making compensation decisions including but not limited to skill sets; experience and training; licensure and certifications; and other business and organizational needs. At Camping World, it is not typical for an individual to be hired at or near the top of the range for their role and compensation decisions are dependent on the factors stated. A reasonable estimate of the current range is listed below. Pay Range $14.27-$27.27 Hourly
