About the role
Toyota of Olympia is a premier Toyota dealership dedicated to providing exceptional automotive experiences to customers. We are seeking a Lot Manager to lead the daily operations, appearance, and organization of our large vehicle inventory.
Responsibilities
- Lead the Lot Operations Team
- Supervise, train, coach, and develop Lot Attendants and Porters.
- Create daily work assignments and ensure tasks are completed efficiently.
- Hold team members accountable to dealership standards, attendance expectations, and safety requirements.
- Foster a positive, team-oriented culture focused on customer service and accountability.
- Manage Vehicle Inventory & Flow
- Oversee the organization and presentation of all new and used vehicle inventory.
- Cook up vehicle movement between Sales, Service, Detail, Body Shop, and customer delivery areas.
- Ensure vehicles are staged appropriately for merchandising, customer appointments, and deliveries.
- Maintain accurate vehicle location records and assist with inventory audits.
- Maintain Dealership Standards
- Ensure all inventory is clean, fueled, tagged, priced, and customer-ready.
- Conduct daily lot walks and inspections to maintain presentation standards.
- Monitor lot appearance, signage, display areas, and vehicle placement.
- Ensure showroom exteriors, service drives, and display areas remain clean and organized.
- Vehicle Readiness & Quality Control
- Verify vehicles meet Toyota of Olympia standards for cleanliness and presentation.
- Identify and coordinate resolution of cosmetic or mechanical concerns.
- Ensure sold vehicles are prepared and staged for on-time deliveries.
- Monitor battery maintenance, tire pressures, fuel levels, and general vehicle condition.
- Inventory Control & Compliance
- Assist management with weekly and monthly inventory audits.
- Verify all vehicles are properly tagged and accounted for.
- Ensure compliance with dealership safety standards and operating procedures.
- Maintain accurate records regarding inventory movement and lot operations.
- Support Customer Experience
- Ensure vehicles are available and prepared for customer appointments and test drives.
- Support the Sales and Service teams in delivering an exceptional customer experience.
- Lead by example with professionalism, urgency, and attention to detail.
Qualifications
- Previous automotive dealership experience required.
- Previous supervisory or leadership experience required.
- Strong organizational and time-management skills.
- Ability to prioritize multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment.
- Excellent communication and leadership abilities.
- Ability to work outdoors in various weather conditions.
- Valid driver's license with a clean driving record.

- The Lot Team is productive, accountable, and properly trained.
