Lot Attendant / CDL A

About the Role

Vermeer All Roads in Ashland, VA is searching for a CDL A truck driver/general laborer/yard tech assistant to join our growing team. This role is responsible for transporting Vermeer equipment, assisting technicians/mechanics, and organizing equipment on the lot. You will be driving a Ford 550 with a trailer and operating Vermeer equipment. This is a full time, benefits eligible position with a competitive hourly rate.

Responsibilities

• Observe and follow safety procedures and DOT regulations
• Secure equipment safely onto the trailer
• Operate Vermeer equipment and organize neatly around the dealership
• Remain alert while operating the vehicle
• Assist technicians in the shop
• Maintain a detailed log of working hours in compliance with state and federal regulations
• Communicate effectively with employees and customers
• All other duties as assigned

Qualifications

• Experienced CDL A (unrestricted) driver
• Must be at least 21 years old
• Insurable by our carrier (clean driving record)
• At least 3 years recent delivery/driving experience

Pay

$24-$30/hr (based on experience)
