About the role

The Loss Prevention Manager at The Ben, a luxury Marriott Autograph Collection hotel in West Palm Beach, plays a pivotal role in ensuring a safe and secure environment for guests and staff. Reporting directly to the General Manager, this position is responsible for developing and implementing comprehensive loss prevention strategies, overseeing emergency preparedness, conducting investigations, and ensuring compliance with all relevant safety regulations and industry best practices.

Responsibilities

  • Investigate, analyze, and report on all incidents and accidents
  • Coordinate activities and liaise with local and federal law enforcement agencies, fire companies, and insurance agencies to resolve problems
  • Develop safety, security, and emergency procedures/action plans for the hotel and peripheries and monitor program implementation within corporate guidelines
  • Maintain constant emergency readiness through monitoring and controlling the maintenance and repair of safety-related equipment
  • Train the hotel staff on first aid, CPR, fire prevention, safety, equipment, accident prevention, security, and emergency procedures
  • Respond effectively to incidents and provide safety training
  • Partner closely with department leaders to proactively identify and mitigate risk
  • Ensure a safe environment for guests and staff, and a quality guest experience
  • Make timely decisions in dynamic situations while maintaining high standards of professionalism, hospitality, and operational excellence

Requirements

  • One to two years of post-high school education or equivalent experience
  • Minimum two years of experience in security/loss prevention
  • Thorough knowledge of security and hospitality fields and their practices and procedures
  • Knowledge of hotel and company policies and procedures
  • Supervisory/management skills
  • Ability to perform CPR and first aid
