Key Responsibilities
- Review and evaluate engineering designs for new construction projects and modifications to existing facilities.
- Ensure compliance with company standards, industry codes, regulatory requirements, and recognized safety practices.
- Assess project and operational risks and help develop effective mitigation strategies and corrective actions.
- Participate in hazard identification and risk assessment activities, including process safety reviews and loss prevention studies.
- Evaluate engineering work performed by internal teams, contractors, and subcontractors to ensure technical quality and compliance.
- Facilitate effective execution of engineering and design activities in alignment with project objectives and schedules.
- Provide technical guidance regarding process safety, loss prevention, environmental, health, and safety requirements.
- Communicate engineering progress, concerns, and recommendations with project teams, operations personnel, and leadership.
- Support project execution while adapting to changing priorities, schedules, and business needs.
- Travel to field locations in the Permian Basin as required.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's Degree in Engineering or equivalent professional experience.
- Minimum 10 years of experience in Process Safety, Loss Prevention, Risk Management, or a related engineering discipline.
- Strong Environmental, Health, and Safety (EHS) background.
- Extensive knowledge of engineering standards, specifications, codes, and safety requirements.
- Experience reviewing engineering designs and facility modifications for safety compliance.
- Strong understanding of risk assessment methodologies and hazard identification processes.
- Excellent communication, facilitation, and interpersonal skills.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications.
- Ability to manage multiple priorities and perform effectively in fast-paced project environments.
- Freshman-level English communication skills, both written and verbal.
