Loss Prevention Detective
Job Description
Your primary responsibility is to complete the daily tasks required for Store Loss Prevention and safety programs. You will maintain positive relationships with Store Management, conduct apprehensions within established policies and guidelines, communicate with store Associates on damage and shrink initiatives, identify and resolve internal and external theft, adhere to established shoplifter guidelines and policies, provide timely, courteous and knowledgeable service to customers, promote a culture of honesty and integrity, maintain confidentiality, observe, apprehend, and/or deter any acts of dishonesty from outside sources, participate in investigations and surveillance as assigned, ensure apprehensions are consistent with store theft activity, complete and distribute paperwork in an accurate and timely manner, maintain appropriate evidence, demonstrate understanding of law enforcement procedures, and professionally participate in legal activities as needed (e.g., police calls, etc.). You will also coordinate and complete shrink related activities in partnership with Store Management, adhere to all labor laws, policies, and procedures, support and participate in store shrink reduction goals and programs, encourage Associate use of shrink reduction resources, promote safety awareness, and support maintenance of a safe environment.

You should have excellent communication skills and sound judgment, basic computer skills, basic time management skills, investigative and analytical skills, and the ability to respond appropriately to changes in direction or unexpected situations. You should be a standout colleague, working effectively with peers and supervisors to accomplish tasks, able to work a flexible schedule to support business needs, and have 0-2 years of retail or security experience.

Pay and Schedule
The starting pay range for this position is $14.55 to $20.40 per hour. Actual starting pay is determined by a number of factors, including relevant skills, qualifications, and experience.
Schedule
This position has a flexible schedule to support business needs.
