Loss Prevention Detective

About the Role

This position involves executing Store Loss Prevention and safety programs, building positive relationships with store management, and conducting apprehensions within established policies. The role supports shrink reduction initiatives, promotes safety awareness, and maintains confidentiality and integrity.

Responsibilities

• Monitor and deter theft, apprehend suspects, and communicate with law enforcement as needed.
• Maintain accurate paperwork and evidence, participate in investigations, and support store safety and shrink reduction goals.
• Identify and resolve theft incidents through surveillance and investigative techniques.
• Provide courteous service to customers and promote honesty and confidentiality.

Requirements

• Excellent communication, basic computer, and time management skills.
• Investigative or analytical abilities.
• Prior retail or security experience (0-2 years) preferred.
• Adaptability to changing situations and ability to work in a team.
• Flexible schedule availability.
