About the role
You’ll be the friendly security presence greeting customers, helping prevent theft, and supporting a safe store environment.
Responsibilities
- Provide a visible, professional presence at the store entrance and sales floor
- Respond discreetly to alarm activations and assist customers
- Work with management to report and prevent theft
- Document incidents and assist with investigations as needed
- Help with in-store safety training and team communication
Requirements
- High school diploma or GED preferred
- Experience in security or loss prevention a plus
- Strong communication skills
- Ability to stay alert, follow procedures, and remain calm under pressure
- Commitment to safety and customer service
- Flexible availability, including nights, weekends, and holidays
Physical Requirements
- Able to stand, walk, and lift up to 25 lbs
- Comfortable bending, reaching, and working on your feet
- Must be able to observe surroundings, read product labels, and respond to alarms
- Use of standard store equipment, including two-way radios
