About the role
The Loss Prevention Agent supports store safety and loss prevention programs by monitoring stores for theft and fraud, following policies to deter or apprehend individuals after validating dishonest acts. The Agent works closely with LP Field Leaders, corporate investigators, and external partners to document findings, assist in investigations, and resolve incidents. This role ensures a safe shopping and working environment that aligns with our company values of integrity, respect, accountability, learning, and humility.
Responsibilities
- Monitor store entrances, exits, sales floor, and checkout areas to identify theft or fraudulent behavior.
- Observe and engage individuals exhibiting dishonest actions to prevent potential loss.
- Utilize CCTV, reporting tools, and investigative resources to detect theft indicators and validate incidents.
- Accurately document incidents, maintain evidence, and provide timely reports to leadership and Investigations teams.
- Partner with leadership and law enforcement to resolve theft cases and support apprehensions when authorized.
- Assist with trespass enforcement for repeat offenders in compliance with company policy.
- Collaborate with internal teams on major theft incidents and contribute to follow-up investigations.
- Identify and report safety hazards and operational vulnerabilities to store management.
- Perform additional duties as assigned to support loss prevention objectives.
Requirements
- High School education or equivalent required; AA degree preferred.
- Minimum 1-2 years experience in loss prevention, retail, or security.
- Demonstrated ability to work effectively both independently and within a team in a fast-paced environment.
- Ability to collaborate effectively with internal and external partners, including law enforcement.
- Strong written and oral communication skills.
- Demonstrated ability to build and maintain working relationships with associates at all levels of the organization.
- Excellent customer service skills.
- Demonstrated ability to problem-solve with a proper sense of urgency.
- Must comply with all applicable federal and state laws and regulations for security positions, including additional background screening, physical examination, fingerprinting, and/or drug and alcohol testing as required.

Physical Requirements
- Ability to work in an office environment, primarily on a computer.
- Requires sitting, standing, walking, hearing, talking on the telephone, attending in-person meetings, typing, and working with paper/files.

- Vision requirements: Ability to see information in print and/or electronically.
- Must be able to travel and require frequent driving.
This role requires regular in-office presence, including in-person team interaction, meetings, and collaboration. However, duties can be performed effectively using a combination of in-office and remote work.
Pay
The base pay range for this role is $20.29 - $29.30 per hour. The range is dependent on factors including, but not limited to, experience, skills, qualifications, relevant education, certifications, seniority, and location. Other rewards may vary by position and location.
