Loss Prevention - 1st Shift

About the Role

Ace Hardware is committed to promoting and maintaining a safe, healthy, and injury-free environment for all team members. As a Loss Prevention Officer, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the safety and security of our facility, employees, and assets.

Responsibilities

• Oversee, observe, and supervise employees entering and exiting the building.
• Conduct Safety/Hazard/Security audits by walking through and around the exterior of the entire facility.
• Monitor the hazard materials storeroom and clean up spills.
• Supervise the disposition of damaged items, load items onto push carts, and move them to a safe location.
• Conduct general investigations, inventory counts, and cycle counts throughout the facility.
• Use computers and office equipment.
• Read Standard Operating Procedures, hear fire/security alarms and phones, and monitor CCTV.
• Provide training to other employees.
• Perform housekeeping duties, keep floors clean, and maintain neat work areas.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED equivalent preferred.
• Must be at least 18 years of age.
• Ability and willingness to work non-traditional shifts and hours.
• Experience with CCTV preferred.
• Degree in Criminal Justice or 3-5 years of practical experience in Security, Loss Prevention, or Law Enforcement Field preferred.
• Able to work a varied schedule, including early mornings, swing shift, nights, weekends, and holidays when necessary.
• CPR/First Aide Certified or able to obtain certification through company-provided training.

Pay

$17.00-$21.00 per hour. The pay range for this position starts as listed, but could be higher based on education and experience.
